HANDS AND FOOT introduces the basics
A card game that is akin to Canasta is called Hand and Foot. This game usually has conventional rules and associated variations. The game usually involves two to five players, depending on the intended number of participants. Two partners typically face each other at a table in Hand and Foot. Select the player who deals with the deck of cards first. They mix the cards (the filer is bent over the edge of the desk), and the winner is allowed to select another partner.
The dealer gives each person two stacks of 13-game cards from the participant’s hand if you pass them counterclockwise. Then the other person goes through the list and creates a stack of cards with each participant placed further south.
These stacks must not be mixed up. The remaining cards are then put in the middle of the table and form the stockpile. The top card is flipped face down toward it and immediately begins the discard pile. If that card is a three or a joker (wild card), it is buried inside the stock, and the whole stack is turned upside down. ‘Foot’ stacks are to be placed around the stock and the discard pile. Players then pick up their ‘hand.’ The play begins with the ‘hand’ dealer. The game contains four deals in total. The deal progresses to the left.

Before the game begins, an initial dealer must be chosen. Each player is given a card from a shuffled deck, and whoever receives the highest card becomes the first dealer. A repeated deal breaks ties. The initial dealer shuffles the deck, and the player to their right cuts it. The dealer then passes two sets of 11 cards clockwise to each player. The first dealer gives the cards to three players, who return them to the dealer. The first two dealers play out their parts of the card game alternately in clockwise order.
